Platelet rich plasma (PRP) contains the human body’s most viable cells for the repair and healing process. Utilizing these efficient cells for medical therapy has become a very popular treatment method due to the notable success of each session. Our PRP center capitalizes on this scientifically proven therapy method to target troublesome areas that are usually not responsive to traditional methods.

What is a PRP Procedure?

PRP procedures administered by our medical experts make it possible for patients to guide their valuable healing cells called platelet rich plasma into target areas. When a patient’s plasma is directly injected into key areas, such as joints, scalp or hair follicles, acne scars, the body is signaled to begin the repair process there. Due to this, patients that undergo PRP therapy typically notice rejuvenation and repair starting several weeks after the treatment.

A PRP procedure is performed and  is administered to target areas that are causing issues to the patient for natural, consistent relief and restoration. Whether you have a knee injury from a past sports injury or need a PRP procedure to reduce the appearance of acne scars or fine lines and wrinkles, our physicians will custom design a treatment plan that works for you. Our minimally invasive techniques are paired with long-lasting results. Weather you are suffering from a joint injury or are looking for rejuvenation, we strive to get you back on your feet  and enjoying all life has to offer in no time at all.

What Can You Expect From a PRP Procedure?

When patients arrive at our Beverly Hills Treatment Center, our physicians will discuss their specific needs and what they can expect from the PRP procedures we offer. This consultation makes it possible for physicians to create the best PRP treatment plan for the patient, based on their needs and concerns. Utilizing the personalized PRP treatment plan makes it possible for our physicians to improve the end results and vicariously patient satisfaction. Our physicians will go over your personalized treatment plan and explain the procedure in depth during the time of your initial consultation.

How is PRP Obtained By a Physician

After the professional consultation, patients undergo plasma replacement therapy. During this process, a small amount of blood will be extracted from patients. Doing so makes it possible for physicians to collect and isolate the patient’s PRP cells. Once these viable cells are isolated in a container, the PRP is prepared for the treatment procedure.

How is a PRP Procedure Performed

The plasma replacement therapy takes approximately 30 minutes to an hour depending on the specific procedure performed. While patients undergo the first step in the PRP procedure, trained physicians develop the optimal treatment plan. For PRP hair restoration, injections of PRP are prepared and the scalp is numbed. Once the scalp is numbed properly, our physicians inject the isolated PRP into the scalp where hair follicles are stimulated. We also perform microneedling of the scalp to rejuvenate the hair follicles to start producing hair again. Rejuvination of the face and acne scar treatment involves micronnedling of the trouble areas while PRP is applied for absorption. At times this procedure involves injections to the affected sites in addition to microneedling. Stretch mark therapy involves micronnedling while applying PRP as well as injections. Injections of joints and tendons is performed in most cases under ultrasound for better precision.

PRP procedure has many benefits including a minimal downtime and low side effect profile. For pain management patients, chronic discomfort areas are typically alleviated over the coming weeks as the area is healed by growth factors present in the plasma.  By invoking the repair process in pain ridden joints and tendons, this procedure starts the bodies cascade of natural repair. Patients that undergo PRP procedures for cosmetic ailments usually experience a lovely glow, better complexion, and a smoother top layer of their skin.
